Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ (/ˈʊbʊ/ /ˈcʊnu̹/ [medium] [coin]) is a temperate Town located in Nogreftö Parish, Bàze Logu Empire, within the Warrenese Shogunate.

The name Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ is derived from the Wareneese language, as Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ was founded by Tshênho Tsèbepî, who was culturaly Wareneese.

Climate

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ has a yearly average temperature of 8°C (46°F), with its average temperature during the summer being an icy 26°C (78°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a freezing -10°C (14°F). Overview

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ was founded durring the early 14th century in summer of the year 1338, by Tshênho Tsèbepî. The establishment of Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ suffered from many setbacks, delays, and obsticles, most notably a group of Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ which required millitary assistance exterminate before the community could finish being built.

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature plaster covered brick construction taking the shape of large simple gemometric shapes which ate then embelished with decorative features, but retain their simple shapes in spite of the added features such as pillars, faccaddes, and covered walkways. The blocky nature gives a general impression of extreem age, as if each structure has existed since time immemorial.

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ is buildings are arranged arrounded a highly ordered system of crampt cobblestone streets which form triangular paterns, allowing the incides of the octagons to be common grounds for the buildings on the edges, be it for parkland, yardspace, plazas, or markets. The town is protected by a series of wooden fences ringing the town's parimiter, which are likly intended to keep varrious beasts out of town rather than protect it from attack by any intelegent agents. Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹'s bare minimum defences has sufferd soem light damage, reducing its function a little in some spots, but could almsot certainly preform as expected... Though some of the worse spots could lead to the loss of defenders lives if attackers identified the weaknesses ahead of time.

A look around Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ gives you an uneasy feeling. Everything is just a little too worn down, a little too dirty, or both. No one makes eye contact. Kids play quietly, but happily. Occasionally a passerby glances at you out of the corner of their eye, staring jsut long enough for it to be uncomfortable.

Civic Infrastructure

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ has an Office of Civil Groundskeeping, which works to enforce local ordinances relating to the construction and upkeep up of all plant life, water features, and other natural decorations within Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹. They are also responsible for the maintenance of these features. Notably, the OCG is not responsible for Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹'s parks.

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹'s natural decorations nor waterways.

Cultural Notes

Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹'s chapel was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used which employed abundant symbolic geometry, using pure forms such as the circle and square, and plans are based on often symmetrical layouts featuring rectangular courtyards and halls. These structures were is decorated with carved stone or stucco reliefs and made use of colorful stone mosaics..

In Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹ tiny harmless tornadoes plague the town.

Different factions of the community might be trying to grasp at the remaining dregs of wealth, others might try to restart the failed industry, and some might look for a new livelihood. Any group or entity thought responsible for the collapse is likely to be treated very harshly, and some locals might find profit in shifting the blame to their enemies.

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century the Kami blessed the town with wealth for a year and a day. One of Gu̽sa Chyûnu̹'s local festivals commemorates this miracle.
